"Mark
Gallo is a classically-trained pianist and guitarist from New York whose
three-song EP soars effortlessly on hook-driven choruses...his debut recording hits a very high level of
professionalism....The sound is remarkably similar to 1990s
mystic Seal, with gentle, well-turned verses erupting into epic refrains.
Lyrics on all three tracks are, however, more personal, dealing exclusively
with relationships...the melodies have that couldn't-have-gone-any-other-way
quality that separates actual songs from extemporizing. I
liked all three cuts immediately, and enjoyed them on the limited repeat basis
that a weekly review schedule permits.... I look forward to more from Gallo,
who clearly has a lot to offer. "--

"...Anthemic
pop driven by acoustic guitar...The choruses soar, the melodies flow and the
mood is never broken. Only three songs here, but man are they good. Gallo
sure knows how to write this kind of song...this sure hits the spot." Jon

"[The
opening track] 'One Day' is a heck of a pop song, and if I had my own radio
station, I'd be plunking it right into the rotation...if Gallo can keep up the
same batting average when he cranks out an actual album, they'll be doing
pretty well for themselves. " John
